[Resumo] Boa parte das fontes de informação sobre as populações de origem africana encontra-se ainda dispersas por diferentes acervos de Santa Catarina, algo que dificulta e inviabiliza o trabalho dos pesquisadores e demais interessados em conhecer aspectos culturais, sócio-econômicos e educacionais. O Memorial Antonieta de Barros visa preservar a história e memória dos afrodescendentes através das suas ações. Relaciona a história com a memória, reforçando-a como um produto da história que transforma tudo pois possibilita ao ser humano a (des)construção de identidades dos grupos sociais. Por fim, a disseminação da informação que usa meios que buscam atender as necessidades dos usuários com o intuito de permitir um melhor atendimento visando um único resultado: fornecimento das informações relevantes sobre a temática para produção do conhecimento dando continuidade e fortalecendo a história e memória dos afrodescendentes em Santa Catarina e no Brasil.
[Abstract]Good part of the sources of information on the populations of African origin still meets for different quantities of Santa Catarina, something dispersed that makes it difficult and makes impracticable the work of the excessively interested researchers and in knowing aspects cultural, partner-economic and educational, the Antonieta de Barros Memoriall with try to maintain the afro descendants history and memory through actions. It relates history with the memory, strengthen it as history product that change everything therefore makes possible to the human been the ( un) building of identities of social groups. Finally, the information diffusion that uses ways that they search to take care of the necessities of the users with intention to allow to one better attendance aiming at an only result: supply of the excellent information on thematic for production of the knowledge giving the continuity and fortifying the history and memory of the afro descendants in Santa Catarina and Brazil.
