  Los estudios sobre comunicación internacional y comunicación intercultural comparten raíces intelectuales, trayectoria y bases epistemológicas. Están además relacionados con importantes dilemas sociales globales, y tienen implicaciones en el activismo y el cambio social. Uno de los principales retos en este siglo mestizo es garantizar el diálogo intercultural ante el advenimiento de un espacio informativo progresivamente abierto a todas las culturas y civilizaciones.

  Studies on international communication and intercultural communication share common intellectual roots, career and epistemological bases. Both are also related to major global social dilemmas, and have implications in activism and social change. One of the main challenges in this mixed century, faced with the advent of an information space progressively open to all cultures and civilizations, is to ensure intercultural dialogue.
