In this article, the organismic-developmental approach is presented as a promising framework for developmental psychology. Its possibilities as and research programs. From the idea that the environment comprises the physical, interpersonal and sociocultural spheres of the human being, this approach describes man in interaction and transaction throughout his development. Also, this development is characterized by a progressive differentiation as well as integration to his environment. A new agenda is proposed as an effort to make of the organismic-developmental approach one concerned with the realities of this culture.
