  • The purpose of this study was to translate and validate the Job Descriptive index using a sample of 330 employees in Puerto Rico. The results showed validity and reliability indexes that compare favorably with those found in the United States samples. Also the subscales of the J.D.I. were correlated with age, academic background, length of service and salary. This correlation analysis produced significant coefficients between some of the subscales and age, length of service, and salary.
