  • This article presents the results of an alumni study conducted at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. the objectives of the study were to identify the employment and study opportunities of the psychology alumni and to know their opinions in relation to several components of the psychology between 1982 to 1990. based on their personal experiences with the psychology program, the alumni expressed more insatisfaction in the following areas: opportunities for collaboration in research, opportunities for learning through practice, and the quality of academic advising services. they reportes more satisfaction in the quality of instruction, the quality of the textbooks used, and opportunities for participating in student organizations. the professional developmental of the participants is described and implications for the psychology curriculum are discussed.
