    El artículo pretende mostrar las modificaciones que se presentan en la teoría psicoanalítica a partir de la presencia del concepto de pulsión de muerte. Antes de la pulsión de muerte, existían demasiadas dificultades para explicar ciertos fenómenos propios del súper yo o de los límites que se encontraban en los procesos terapéuticos. La pulsión de muerte  aparece como un imposible para el psicoanálisis y aún así, su conceptualización es fundamental.

    The article wants to show the modifications that appear in the psychoanalytic theory starting from the presence of the concept of the pulsion of death. Before the pulsion of death existed severe difficulties to explain certain characteristic phenomenons of the super-ego or of the limitations that one met in the therapeutic processes. The instinct death appears as an impossible subject for the psychoanalysis and despite of this its conceptualisation is fundamental.
