Chihuahua's state governor Cesar Duarte Jaquez determined in September 2011 that all youths who pursue a college level education should be admitted despite not acquiring the required grade in the admission exam with the purpose of having the most high school graduates from Bachilleres, CEBETIS, CONALEP, CETIS in order to prevent our youth from being prone to delinquency.
Under the motto: "Everyone has a place in a University" (Todos tienen un lugar en la Universidad) all the applicants of Universidad Tecnológica de Chihuahua were admitted.
Our inquiry is the following: With the entry of all the students despite their test scores will the selection increase the scholar desertion? For which the objective of the current study is to detect the causes of scholar desertion and the impact it had in the degree of Mantenimiento Área Industrial of the UTCH such proposal had, through the following of the 2011-2013 generation, and by comparing it with previous generations.
The methodological design used in this study is descriptive, quantitative non- experimental.
