    La variabilidad climática es un fenómeno natural, pero las actividades humanas han acelerado transformaciones que atentan contra el equilibrio del planeta y afectan a todas las formas de vida. Enfrentar el cambio climático demanda transformaciones significativas en las formas de producción, distribución y consumo propias del capitalismo industrial. La agricultura está estrechamente ligada con la naturaleza, es una de las actividades humanas más afectadas y con mayor impacto sobre el cambio climático. La agroecología y la agricultura familiar campesina tienen el potencial de alimentar al mundo al mismo tiempo que facilitar un retorno a los equilibrios naturales. Fortalecerlas implica apoyar una racionalidad sustentable, flexible y diversa, otra forma de relacionarnos con la naturaleza y preservar la vida.

    Climate variability is a natural phenomenon, but human activities have accelerated unprecedented changes that threaten the balance of the planet and affects all life forms. Addressing climate change demands significant changes in the characteristic forms of production, distribution and consumption of industrial capitalism. Agriculture is closely linked with nature, is one of the human activities most affected by climate change and also one of those with a greater impact on it. Agroecology and small farming have the potential to feed the world while providing a return to natural balances. To strength them also means to support a sustainable, flexible and diverse rationality, another way of relating to nature and preserving life.
