  • Resumen
    • Tourism development in the communities have had a long way , usually projects are called "sustainable" , however in the projects that have been developed in the Mayan communities of Quintana Roo the focus has been directed to the economic and environmental activities, leaving behind the social factor .

There have been different approaches to rural communities that are considered to have potential to be developed for tourism , according to the diagnosis that was conducted in this study based on the proposal "Identification of Tourism Potentials in regions and municipalities," SECTUR (2002) and they have somehow been guided by other agencies and institutions , but has not been detected achieve consolidated, so in this study , the proposed training is focused on the needs of each community in order to achieve their own consolidation .

In this research, we worked with three communities: El Naranjal" and "Nuevo Durango geographically located in the territory of the municipality Lázaro Cárdenas, and "Campamento Hidalgo" which officially belongs to the municipality of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo state ; according to the Urban Development Program of the municipality , but is administered by SEDESOL Chemax, Yucatán
