Resumen de Bases para la toma de decisiones locales en reubicación post-desastre del hábitat en riesgo.

  • The increment of occurrence and impact of natural disasters in the cities and the built habitat, besides the effects of Climate Change in global scale, has caused than millions of peoples in the world are living in places where the relocation is the only solution in order to reduce the risks of disasters.

    This article explains the research findings about an action scheme to take decisions based on a systematical study about the theory and practice to risk management through the permanent displacement of people toward safer zones that where they lived since many years.

    A relocation basis for the risky habitat is proposed, and fixes the requirements for its application in different contexts. Are discussed selected cases from Mexico and Cuba. This research was developed through a joint project between the Academic Body 115 "Habitat for sustainable environment" of the Faculty of Architecture of the Autonomous University Benemèrita of Puebla and Cuban counterparts Construction Faculty of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, Cuba.
