Resumen de Módulos de elasticidad y de ruptura de tres maderas angiospermas mexicanas.

Mariana Ramírez, Javier Sotomayor

  • The Designer and Engineer who work with wood require physical-mechanical characteristics and indicators to orient the manufacture and performance of products and structures of this material. This research had the objective of determining the material indices of elasticity and flexural strength, both derived from static bending tests. For this, wood of tropical species from template weather was used: Cedrela odorata, Quercus spp. and Platymiscium dimorphandrum . Previously, the density, moisture content, modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture, were determined in normalized specimens of the three wood species in study. The results of the ANOVA analysis established that there is a statistically significant difference between the means of the three variables analyzed from the three species, with a confidence level of 95 %. This result suggests that the density and the moduli MOE and MOR are different from and to each of the three species.
