  • Resumen
    • Generally, the mathematical models are constructed to represent real systems. In the materials without fracturing; the elastic mechanical properties are assumed as constant. One of them is the elastic modulus (constant in the constitutive equations of the materials homogeneous, continuous and isotropic). The thermomechanical processes on the material throughout the domain, modify the value of the elastic constant, producing a spatial variation in the studied parameter.

In this paper the finite element method (FEM) is used to calculate the vibrational modes of Euler Bernoulli beam, with 8 holes aligned to the centre and distributed along the beam. Assuming that the elastic modulus at each point is constant but varies spatially. The results of model are compared with experimental data using two metrics, square error (MSE ) and modal assurance criteria (MAC).
