The higher education technology in Mexico requires major adjustments responding to the renewed demands of society. It is pertinent to effect a paradigm shift in order to engage with competitiveness in society as well as placing its graduates in conditions which enable them to aspire to better labor positions.
It is necessary to strengthen the link with productive sectors that provide students better opportunities in their practices, to achieve better chance placement, provision of scholarships, professional residences, etc... Which is currently neglected today. Teacher evaluations require effective tools that allow timely monitoring of their performance. Currently there is a considerable loss of class hours , teacher delinquency, and recurrent class suspensions for various reasons , namely; failure to comply with curricula , excessive relaxation of academics, and school calendar saturated suspensions of various kinds. The wage gap is an offensive, similar to the discriminatory actions of DGEST towards Tecnológicos Federales y Descentralizados, with similar functions. The lack of adequate infrastructure in most schools, urgent need of laboratory equipment, information centers, space for academic units, and multipurpose halls, all contribute to the detriment of thousands of students pursuing a career.
