  • Resumen
    • Intestinal parasites are at the present time a social medical problem that affects not only developing countries but also developed. Recent studies showed an increase of intestinal parasitism easily transmitted from person to person, the increase in day care, boarding and other institutions or communities in social, economic significance or both.

For these reasons, the present study aimed to determine the prevalence of intestinal parasites in children under five nurseries belonging to the PAN.

The results showed a high parasitosis in the study population, suggesting that there is contamination in food of children which is associated with low level of sanitation.
