  • Resumen
    • The present study explore infection of symptomatic urinary tract, which is not treated properly and can cause an increase in the frequency of : threatened abortion, preterm labor , low birth weight , among the most important complications.

The prevalence of obstetric and perinatal complications caused by urinary tract infections was 23% standing out with preterm labor and low birth weight.

The hypothesis was confirmed because we found a high prevalence and complications leading to a urinary tract infection in pregnancy.

The result of this research shows us that these diseases must be treated urgently by implementing a protocol for prenatal care that includes at least one urine culture by trimester.
