    • Due the specific functional and anatomical characteristics of the genitals in females, it is often find several vaginal infections, be they direct or indirect transmission. The more often a partial or total lack of sex education, hygiene, lack of knowledge about these infections and implemented appropriate treatments couple is important for healing, preventing reinfection of individuals. The organisms under study, Trichomonasvaginalis, Gardnerellavaginalis, Candida spp. mainly affects women of childbearing age, considering important statistical and practical contribution of this work to one of the most common health problems in the female population. The study group was represented by 325 women of childbearing age, who came to St. Luke's Hospital; of which 134 have STIs. 68 patients presented Gardnerellavaginalisinfection; 33 patients have Trichomonasvaginalis; 28 patients have Candida spp and 5 patients presented mixed infection. For the determination of these infections wet technique and direct Gram stain was used. The results show that there is a prevalence of microorganisms such Gardnerellavaginalis, Candida spp. Trichomonasvaginalis.
