  • Resumen
    • Following Pablo Nerudas prophecy that Tina Modotti would not die in vain, this essay examines José Ignacio Valenzuelas 2010 novel La mujer infinita, one of the most recent approaches to the life and legacy of the photographer. It focuses particularly on how this novel by the prolific Chilean author humanizes and contemporizes Tinas relevance in our current cultural environment; as well as on the mass-media writing techniques used in the novel that allow for the connection between the socio-historical contexts of 1920s Mexico and current political/social events.
