  • Social Responsibility has generated an enormous interest during the last years in the business world, business schools, investors and even some governments. Since the end of the 90´s different initiatives, codes, and standards designed to promote an ethical, sustainable, and respectful behavior with the society and the environment have appeared in the international scene.

    The majority of these suggestions, voluntary aim to encourage the development of policies and strategies in companies that incorporate these criteria claiming its necessity from different points of view: economic, ethical, environmental and social. Therefore, the aim of this research was analyze if the municipalities of Chilcuautla. El arenal and Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, to accomplish with the society economic environmental responsibility.
