Resumen de Evaluación tóxica in vivo de tres especies vegetales del estado de Hidalgo usadas como tratamiento contra el dolor en la medicina tradicional

  • Pain, is a symptomatology that it is possible to find in most cases of discomfort, and since many years ago people have usually used Medicinal plants in order to cure themselves because is a cheap way of treatment. Medicinal plants are usually used like herbal tea, or just like drinking water this kind of plants, have an active therapeutic purpose and they have already been reported in scientific researches however, they also have too many variety of active biological substances the ones which, in high dose could cause negative effects including death. In this scientific research, three type of vegetal species originally from Hidalgo state Bidens, Buddleja y Zaluzania were chosen, they have therapeutic uses in homeopathic and natural medicine so that, we made extracts by using organic solvents (hexane, ethyl acetate and ethane), the lethal dose was established 50 from each extract. This result, was only the first phase and it works so as to evaluate, if it is possible to exist some kind of risk in the consumption of this medicinal plants by people.
