Resumen de Desarrollo de software estadístico de indicadores ambientales (SEDIA)

J. Domínguez, S. Serrano, M. Hernández, D. Aguilar

  • Thes oil eco systemis considered as a means of life support (Dumanski et al., 1998) so itis necessary to preserve and increase theirquality. One of the tools that allow us to achieve this, is by creating quality indicators, which are able to describe a simple and efficients oil quality at the same time allow you to compare a specific condition and quality with other are sensitive to the change of the agent that causes it. Several papers indicated that soil management affects edaphic organic carbon, structure, biological activity (worms) and moisture retention, which usually are used as physical, chemical and biological indicators in the study of qualitys oils (Singer and Ewing, 2000; Karlen et al, 2004.).

These indicators show no favorable changes over time due to soil management, but this variation may decrease if the intensification of management is reduced and if new farming practices are adopted. The assessment of soil quality must be according Sey bold et al (1997) according to the functions thatit can play in biodiversity or productivity, the flow of water and solutes in infiltration and damping in nutrient cycling and structural support. SEDIA arises from the need for a statistical system that meets the specifications necessary for the evaluation of soil quality in an automated manner, depending on the functionit performs in biodiversity or productivity, waterflow and solutes in filtration and damping, in the cycle of nutrients and for structural support.

The design of a statistical system of environment alindicators allows producers to enter relevant to your plot or culture, related to the physical and chemical characteristics of the site data; which are stored and processed according to rules which go vernit. This systemis developed underan open sourcelicense (free software), designed for small and medium enterprises (individual and business focused producers), with a friendly environment for easy manipulation of this system.
