Resumen de Paul Morand: el escrutinio del paseante

  Este artículo trata de mostrar, a través del ejemplo proporcionado por sendas obras de Paul Morand sobre Nueva York y Londres, cómo se construye un libro de “viajes por dentro de la ciudad”, y a través de qué recursos discursivos se concreta. Se verá que el discurso mixto que constituye dichas obras, estructurado en torno a imágenes en movimiento, se divide en ciertos niveles que se adaptan de forma distinta a ambos objetos urbanos, merced a la distinta consideración del autor hacia los mismos.

  In this article, we try to show how a book of “travels inside a town” can be written by taking as example two books by Paul Morand about New York and Londres, and what kind of discursive resources are used therefor. We will see that the mixed discourse with which these books are written, structured around moving images, consists in several levels adapted differently to both urban objects, due to the different consideration the author has for them.
