El crítico francés Roland Barthes abordó desde la semiología el análisis sociológico y literario, pero su evolución le llevó a interesarse por otros ámbitos significantes. Este artículo pretender recuperar algunas de líneas planteadas en su obra y ponerlas en relación con la lectura e interpretación del espacio urbano.

The French critic Roland Barthes undertake from the semiology the sociological and literary analysis, but his evolution has taken him to approach other kinds of signifi cant. This paper is proposed to extract some lines from his work and put them in rapport to the reading and interpretation of urban space.
