  • The article discusses how the S.J. Berwin LLP and Ashurst LLP laws firms were unable to resist the lure of Asia-related merger and acquisition deals, focusing on Ashurst LLP's role as a senior partner in a merger with the Blake Dawson firm, as well as the King & Wood Mallesons law firm's decision to acquire S.J. Berwin LLP. Increases in various Asian economies following a financial crisis are mentioned, along with corporate departures to American law firms and law offices in London, England.
