This paper describes the orthodontic treatment of two cases presented at the bi-collegiate examination of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and Glasgow as part of the Membership in Orthodontics examination. The first case details the management of an 11-year-old Caucasian female patient with a class II division 2 malocclusion who was treated with a combination of extra-oral anchorage and fixed appliances. The second case details the management of a 14-year-old Indian male with a class II division 1 malocclusion who was treated with a combination of functional and fixed appliance therap
