    • The Secretariat of Tourism defines rural tourism as the human side of the alternative tourism and it is seen as an option for the development and economic sustainability of communities that have natural and cultural resources, in order to preserve and learn the traditions, customs and everyday productive activities of the ethnic. In the quest to reach out to the Mayan, the aim of the present work is to design a park called etnoturistico Yùum Baalam in Maxcanu Yucatan, this concept comes through the rural tourism, who is one of the segments that divides the alternative tourism. For the realization of the design took into account the activities set up by the secretariat of tourism for the practice of the rural tourism specifically the ethnotourism and distribution was carried out strategically for the coordination and the proper functioning of the park taking as reference the Center the rest of Etnoturistico ASODINT located in the indigenous territory of Terraba only 30 minutes away from Buenos Aires Costa Rica. Depending on the results we can conclude that the design of the park is a place in which you can practice activities such as agritourism etnoturisticas, craft workshop, learning workshop in dialects, gastronomic workshop, mystical experiences preparation and use of traditional medicine and rural photography, and in this way rescue the traditions and culture of Maxcanu maya Yucatan
