    En el ámbito semántico de los emblemas se distingue el sentido (identificación de un titular) del contenido (información sobre la identidad individual o social de ese titular). Se explora aquí la cambiante relación de esos dos pla- nos del emblema con las nociones de emblema / símbolo, identificación / identidad y presencia / significado. Se concluye que, pese al cambiante peso de ambos elementos, el factor identificativo y presencial es el más importante en la evolución y permanencia de los emblemas.

    In the semantic field of emblems the meaning (identity of a holder) is distinguished from the contents (information on the individual or social identity of that holder). The changing relationship between those two emblem planes with the notions of emblem/symbol, identification/identity and presence/meaning are explored here. One concludes that even though there is a changing weight of both elements, the identifying and presence factor is the most important in the evolution and permanence of emblems.
