  • Resumen
    • Objective of this research was to identify if there is a relationship between the family atmosphere and the subjective well-being in university students. The sample was composed of 360 participants belonging to 13 State Public University Faculties of which 39.2 % (n= 141) were men and 60.8 %(n= 219) women; located in an age range of 18 to 24 years, with an average of 19.9 years. To obtain the information is applied the Satisfaction with Life Scale (Diener, Emmons, Larsen, R. J.& Griffin, 1985, traduction by Laca, Verdugo & Guzmán, 2005), The Positive and Negative Affect Scale, PANAS (Watson, Clark & Tellegen, 1988, adaptation by Sandín, Chorot, Lostao, Joiner, Santed &Valiente, 1999) And the Scale of Social Climate Family (Moos & Moos, 1981, adaptation by Fernández & Sierra, 1989, in Jimenez & Lehalle, 2012).

The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between the subjective components of the welfare and the components of the family atmosphere, highlighting the correlation between cohesion and satisfaction with life.
