This paper proposes that a community (Teuchitlán Jalisco) becomes beneficiary under another perspective of local development, with a focus on shared value (Porter, 2011). During years, researchers, educational institutions and government authorities of the three levels, have proposed development initiatives but most of them under a focus on the "bottom up" (Alburqueque 2012), therefore, under an endogenous approach, however it would be be relevant also take external current account (exogenous) and channel to the interior so as to be merged to the benefit of the community.
Furthermore, of proposing this approach, in the study is analyzed cultural and natural attractions of the town of Teuchitlán in order that members of the community would be benefited from being self-employment in the tourism sector under a sustainable development perspective.
