    O objetivo deste artigo concentra-se na tentativa de recuperar os enfrentamentos da indústria e da lavoura paulista. As preocupações voltam-se para a análise dos ataques ao setor têxtil da juta e para a conseqüente defesa desencadeada, procurando identificar os elementos que influenciaram esse processo. Assim, esta análise destaca as tensões entre o discurso ruralista e o industrialista procurando desvendar suas práticas e representações.

    The aim of this article concentrates itself in an attempt to retrieve the riots in the paulista industry and farming. The concerns direct themselves to the analysis of the attacks to the jute textile sector, and to the consequent originated defense, trying to identify the elements that influenced these processes. Thus, this analysis outstands the tensions between the ruralist address and the industrialist one, searching to unveil its practices and representations.
