    This research focuses on the female, male and family representation of the sanitary-phisician debates which created the whole ideal profile of the man and woman being in the periode of 1890-1930. This was a special moment of the development in the urbanization process which took place in the instant of the growth of medical influence in São Paulo.

    Este estudo analisa as representações femininas, masculinas e familiares presentes nos discursos médico-sanitaristas, responsáveis pela construção do perfil ideal do ser homem e mulher paulista entre 1890 e 1930. Este período coincide com o arranque da urbanização e com o aumento da ação da medicina na capital paulista.
