  • This research work is referred to the business development in the State of Zacatecas, the features have in terms of employment generation and creation of social wealth, and its importance with the neighbouring States that comprise the so-called zone Centre North of Mexico.

    To perform the above, official, business figures and other obtained from the academic sector showing from an objective perspective how is Mexico's economic system, the Zacatecas State and where is headed in the next few years were reviewed.

    Standby that this work be of use to stakeholders in the economic field, and thereby allow moving toward new stages of development that lead to benefits to the mass population and allow this folded to the extent possible indices of poverty and marginality that currently occur.

    This is a comparative study of States that are surrounding Zacatecas and presents representative data of employment, number of companies already established, dynamic sectors and other economic factors that give account of the development and growth of the Centre-North region, with emphasis on the State of Zacatecas during the period covered the years from 2000 to 2013
