    Der Artikel untersucht das Schicksal der POUM nach dem 16. Juni 1937. Er setzt nach der Verhaftung der Führung ein, wie die Repression gegen die gesamte Partei ausgeweitet wurde und insbesondere ihre Positionen im Staat (Institutionen der Generalitat, Stadträte usw.) und vor allem in der Armee (Auflösung der Lenin-Division) aufgelöst wurden. Dagegen entwickelte die POUM ihre Aktivitäten in der Illegalität und führte eine intensive Diskussion über die politische Linie, in der alte Meinungsverschiedenheiten von vor dem 16. Juni wieder auflebten. Ein weiterer Punkt ist die Rolle, die die POUM in der internationalen Linken spielte, wobei sie weiterhin aktiv am “Londoner Büro” teilnahm. Der Artikel schließt mit der Flucht ihrer Mitglieder im Januar 1939 aus Katalonien ab.

    This article explores the fate of the POUM after 16 June 1937. It deals with the situation after the arrest of the eadership, with the broadening of the repression against the whole party and, especially, against their positions within the state (like organisms of the Generalitat, town councils, etc.) and above all within the army (dissolution of the Lenin Division). Within this context the POUM developed their clandestine activities and led intensive discussions about the political line in which old disagreements from before 16 June resurfaced. Another point deals with is the role the POUM played within the international independent left during that time, especially as an active part of the “London Bureau”. The article closes with the escape of their members in January 1939 when Catalonia was occupied.
