    This project consists of understanding  the territory of Sobral / CE from the installation of the industry Grendene Calçados  S/A  that came  from Rio Grande do Sul, in May 1993, established at 214,  Pimentel Gomes avenue in Expectativa district, supported by State and City governments. It was elected as object of study Grendene industry and the transformations that occurred in the territory of Sobral from 1993 to 2003. The main objective of this analysis was to understand the social- spatial repercussion  with the advent of Grendene, trying  to understand how the labor force organizes itself   in the territory, considering the information given by the company. The labor force is composed by people from all Brazilian regions: North, Northeast, South, Southeast and Center-West.

    O trabalho consiste em compreender o território de Sobral/CE a partir da instalação da indústria Grendene Calçados/AS vindo do Rio Grande do sul, em maio de 1993, sediada na Avenida Pimentel Gomes, 214 no Bairro Expectativa, com apoio do poder público estadual e municipal. Elegeu-se como objeto de estudo a indústria Grendene e as transformações ocorridas no território de Sobral no intervalo de 1993 a 2003. O objetivo principal dessa análise foi compreender a repercussão socioespacial com o advento da Grendene, buscando entender como se organiza a força de trabalho no território, considerando a informação dada pela própria empresa, a composição da força de trabalho que vem de todas as regiões brasileiras: Norte, Nordeste, Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste.
