  • Resumen
    • In broaching the issue of pain, like many other aspects of the clinical decision making process, it is possible an approximation of the ethical type. We begin by reviewing the dimensions of pain in their diverse perspectives, the components that form it, its physiopathologic repercussions, its prevalence, its sociosanitary implications and the causes for its inadequate control. This is done with the purpose of establishing pain control as a right inherent to the human person's dignity, who in his/her uniqueness suffers when experiencing pain. And, we finish by developing a summary ethical analysis in light of the ethical principles of respect for the human person, of beneficence, of non-malfeasance and of justice
