  • Resumen
    • Three stratigraphic units have been distinguished in the SE sector of the Duero Basin: Lower, Intermediate and Upper Páramo Units. Each Unit ends by compact lacustrine limestones called "páramos" that today form mesas landscape. The "Lower Páramo limestone" level disappears todwards the west of Adrada de Haza, whereas the "Intermediate Páramo limestone" level increases in thickness and in morphology development in the same direction. The chronostratigraphy of these units and their correlation with the centre of the basin could be estimated by means of palaeontological sites in the stratigraphic sections and the new high-resolution magnetostratigraphic results. This sedimentary record ranges in age from Middle Aragonian, at the lower part, to Upper Vallesian, at the Upper Páramo Limestones.
