  • Explored here are the compositional variations in the different versions of Tobias and the Angel and The Destruction of Troy- including a previously unknown version of the latter in private collection-by the German painter and printmaker Adam Elsheimer. While the composition and most of the details of the earlier paintings are essentially retained, changes reflecting the artist's stylistic development may also be observed.
