  • The article focuses on the social unrest and economic condition of Egypt. Topics discussed include the mass protest against the Muslim Brotherhood-led government which overthrown President Mohammad Morsi in January 2011, the flat-lined gross domestic product (GDP), and the failure of the government to establish a coherent strategy for economic development.
