Resumen de Experiencias y significados del embarazo de una joven soltera: historia de vida como método exploratorio

  El propósito fue analizar la forma como una joven mujer significó, vivió y ubicó su embarazo en su trayectoria de vida. Una mujer joven de clase media, madre de un bebé recién nacido, participó en 5 sesiones de entrevista que fueron filmadas y transcritas. A partir de éstas, se escribió un relato organizado temáticamente, conforme al método de historia de vida. Se encontró que sus diferentes experiencias y significaciones sobre su embarazo inesperado, siendo soltera, cambiaron durante la trayectoria de vida y el desarrollo gestacional. Para una concepción psicológica, que es dinámica, holística y tiene una perspectiva de género, las experiencias y significaciones sobre el embarazo fueron expresiones individuales de la cultura patriarcal, donde la mujer joven tomó decisiones padeciendo o ejerciendo cierto poder, en una balanza, dadas sus posiciones relativas de hija, hermana, amiga, estudiante, novia, madre, paciente y creyente religiosa.

  The purpose was to analyze how a young woman meant, lived and located her pregnancy in her path of life. A young woman of middle class, the mother of a newborn baby, participated in 5 sessions of interview that were filmed and transcribed. From these, a story, organized thematically, was written, in accordance with the method of life history. It was found that her different experiences and meanings about her unexpected pregnancy, being an unmarried woman, changed over the course of life and the gestational development. For a psychological conception, that it is dynamic, holistic and has a gender perspective, the experiences and meanings on the pregnancy were individual expressions of the patriarchal culture, where the young woman took decisions suffering or exercising a certain power, in a balance, given her roles of daughter, sister, friend, student, girlfriend, mother, patient, and religious believer.
