Resumen de Spacial and temporal analysis of human capital at the Paraná state microregions

  Many studies support the idea that human capital plays an important role in determining the rate of economic growth in a region. Considering that there are regional differences regarding the economic dynamism in Paraná State, this article analyzes the evolution of human capital in the regions of Paraná between 1999 and 2006. More precisely, we attempted to measure the stock of human capital within each micro Parana, characterizing the spatial distribution and its evolution. The results show an increase in human capital in the state, improvement in their quantitative and qualitative aspects, altough significant differences in their distribution along; Paraná remain. Compared to 1999, however, these disparities were significantly reduced.

  Muitos estudos dão suporte à ideia de que o capital humano possui um papel importante na determinação da taxa de crescimento econômico de uma região. Neste sentido, considerando que existem diferenças regionais quanto ao dinamismo econômico no Paraná, busca-se, neste artigo, analisar a evolução do capital humano nas microrregiões paranaenses em 1999 e 2006. Mais precisamente, pretende-se mensurar o estoque de capital humano em cada microrregiãoparanaense, caracterizando sua distribuição espacial e sua evolução. Os resultados demonstram um aumento do capital humano no Estado, melhorando os seus aspectos quantitativos e qualitativos, havendo ainda diferenças significativas quanto à sua distribuição ao longo do Paraná; entretanto, se comparadas com 1999, essas diferenças se reduziram significativamente.
