This short article aims to re-attribute three portraits to artists active in Venice between the end of the fifteenth and beginning of the sixteenth century: Jacometto, Marco Basaiti and Andrea Previtali.
This process of re-attribution is an opportunity to shed new light on the evolution of Venetian Renaissance portraiture, starting with the artistic world of Antonello da Messina and Bellini and culminating in tha paintings of Lorenzo Lotto.
