Resumen de Aportación de Nitrógeno, Fósforo y variaciones del quimismo del Arroyo de la Venta (Valle de la Fuenfría) durante un evento de tormenta

  El objetivo principal del presente trabajo es cuantificar y estudiar las variaciones del aporte de nutrientes, así como, las características químicas durante una crecida rápida (evento de tormenta), en una pequeña subcuenca de cabecera sobre sustrato granítico. La vegetación está compuesta por tres capas, principalmente un estrato arbóreo formado mayoritariamente por pinos de Valsaín (Pinus sylvestris L.), un estrato arbustivo y un de matorral de ribera predominante en la Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid). Se evaluó la relación entre la escorrentía superficial y los iones en el agua, además de la importancia de los mismos en la liberación de nutrientes (Nitrógeno y Fósforo), por ser dichos elementos los desencadenantes de los procesos de eutrofización en el agua. Los resultados reflejan que la variabilidad en la zona estudiada es alta y demuestran la utilidad de su determinación para precisar la respuesta hidrológica de la cuenca.

  The principal aim of the paper is the quantification and variation in nutrients and the chemical characteristics during a flash flood (storm event) in a small upland sub-basin on granitic substrate. The vegetation is composed of three layers, a tree layer and consists mostly of Valsaín pines (Pinus sylvestris L.), a bush layer and a riverside shrub layer predominant in the Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid). We assessed the relationship between surface runoff and the ions in the water, and the importance of them in the release of nutrients (Nitrogen and Phosphorous), being those items triggers eutrophication processes in the water. The results indicate that chemical variability is high in the study area, and indicate the utility of its estimation to define the hydrological response of the catchments.
