  A pesar de que el efecto blanqueador del Cr, Mn y Fe es conocido desde hace varias décadas, hasta el presente, al menos en Colombia, no se comercializan ligas con estos elementos para fabricar oro blanco. La alta reactividad que ellos presentan figura como la principal causa. A partir del sistema ternario Cu-Mn- Zn, se diseñan y fabrican tres aleaciones o ligas, las cuales son previamente modificadas con adiciones de elementos blanqueadores secundarios, con el fin de que cumplan con el requisito de blancura definido por el método de ASTM Yellowness Index D1925.

  Although the bleaching effect of the Cr, Mn and Fe is known for several decades, until the present, at least in Colombia, there are not marketed alloys with these elements to manufacture white gold. The high reactivity between this elements is the main cause. Starting from the ternary system Cu- Mn-Zn, there are designed and manufactured three alloys, which are previously modified with additions of secondary bleaching elements that fulfill the defined requirement of whiteness for the method of ASTM Yellowness Index D1925.
