  • Resumen
    • The author could have done more, for example, to place the tennessee log building tradition within a larger national context. it remains un- clear from this reading what elements of ten- nessee log buildings were peculiar to the state. but, as a case study, this book is an important addition to the folklorist's shelf. it could also serve as a fieldwork instruction manual for classes in historic preservation as well as a ref- erence source.
