  • In his famous "Letter in Rain" Saint Bernhard revealed his concept of a law, demanding are form of traditional law of monastic orders. His protest against children's oblation to monasteries, based on the new self-understanding of man, proved a success. His interpretation of law of fransitus, seduced by the stupendous attraction of his Cistercian order, however, became a failure.
