Durante los reinados de Fernando VI y Carlos III residió y trabajó en Madrid el tintorero extremeño, nacido en Talarrubiaas, don Juan Mansilla Alvarado, quien sin sentirse ofendido por dedicarse a un oficio tenido por vulgar por la quisquillosa sociedad de la época, logró amasar una considerable fortuna, la cual registró minuciosamente en la carta de dote que otorgo cuando contrajo un segundo matrimonio, donde incluyó casas, pinturas, muebles, ropas y vestidos, armas, utensilios de cocina, joyas y objetos de plata y todos los materiales de su obrador para desarrollar su profesión
During the reigns of Fernando VI and Carlos III there resided and was employed at Madrid the extremedian dyer born in Talarrubias, don Juan Mansilla Aliseda, who without feeling offended for exercising a trade for vulgary in the particular company of his epoch, to accumulate a considerable fortune that registered in his letter dowry, granted in the occasion of his second marriage and in the one that registered houses, paintings, furniture, clothers and dresses, weapon, jewels and objects of silver and the materials necessary for the development of his profession.
