  • This paper describes the economic development of the automotive industry in the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico. The question that must be responded in this research is: How has the economic development been in the state of Aguascalientes?. The study is derived from a larger research project, all data comes from various sources, primarily: National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics (INEGI), Mexican Business Information System (SIEM) and Mexican Association Automotive Industry, AC (AMIA). The state of Aguascalientes has 53 economic units distributed in each of one of the counties, Jesus Maria and San Francisco de los Romo. The Automotive Industry is integrated by 16% of large companies, 6% medium sized companies, 22% small companies and 56% micro companies.
