    • A proposal for anaerobic treatment of wastewater from La Margarita Housing Unit to determine the potential for generation of biogas from organic matter contained in wastewater and an estimate of the energy that can be obtained. Was considered population served, maximum flow, laboratory analysis of wastewater characterization Settleable- Solids, Total Suspended Solids, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Fats and Oils, Floating material, temperature, Potential of Hydrogen (pH), fecal Coliform, Total Coliform, Volatile Suspended Solids, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Total Alkalinity. These values were designed treatment units involving an anaerobic digester. The estimated biogas production 308.76 m3 / d which is equivalent in energy terms to 6983775.71 Btu / d with an economic value of $ 659,244.34 / year. The construction and commissioning of this type of treatment allows the operation of processes rather than requiring energy is able to generate with reduced cleanup costs and consistent use of organic waste for soil improvement.
