Resumen de Toward a Global History of Hispanic Art

Jonathan Brown

  • The members of the “Asociación de Historia del Arte Español y Latinoamericano” have presented the glories of spanish art to the attention of a very large public and converted Japan into one of the most important centres for its study and appreciation. The accomplishments of the association speak for themselves and are esteemed not only in Spain but throughout the world of Hispanism. It might be useful to situate them in the wider context of the historiography of Spanish art from ca. 1960 to the present.
