  • Resumen
    • This is the first time at national and state level that we try to unify two natural protected areas with different range; the Monumento Natural Cerro de la Silla (federal level) and Sierra de la Silla (state level), both forms an important biological corridor with the Sierra Madre Oriental over the neotropical species. The limited information from all groups of vertebrates (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals) of these protected areas, justified this multidisciplinary research generated bio-ecological bases and justifications necessary for the conservation of these to support management plans. The methods used for each group are the basic reported on each references and the field survey was conducted during 2011 to 2012, by a multidisciplinary work team, headed by specialized people for the different group or vertebrates by the "academic board for the conservation biology" Cuerpo Academico de Biologia de la Conservacion. The list of species include (21 species of fishes, 49 amphibians and reptiles, 155 birds, and 37 mammals), was established their ecological and temporal distribution of the species, it was determined the presence of 15 exotic species, being the fishes and mammals the most affected group, and established 39 species under federal protection law in the Norma Oficial Mexicana (NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010). The field work was realized during 2011 and 2012.
