    • Malariais a public health problem worldwide due to their morbidity and mortality. It is a leading parasite disease in the tropics and subtropics including Latin America. Most cases of malaria are due to Plasmodium vivax y Plasmodium falciparum. Current treatments are becoming less effective due to the development of resistance by the protozoan; therefore it is necessary to search for new effective therapeutic alternatives. In this studyweevaluated the biocide activity of threealkamidesandborneolesterfromH. longipesroots against P.falciparumin vitro.TheN-isobutyl-2E, 6Z, 8Edecatrienamide showedbiocide activity at 72.39ìM, while its partially reducedmoleculeN-isobutyl-2Edecamonoenamidewas at 133.3ìM.For theN-isobutyl-2Z-monoen-8, 10-diinundecamide the biocide activity was at 17.02ìMand2E,6Z,8Ebornyldecatrienoatewasat52.98ìM.The resultssuggestthatalkamides of H. longipesA.BlakeGrayhavebiocide activity, which is influenced bythe presence ofNisobutyl substituent, double bondsat 6Z, 8Epositionsand long chain.
